(Verse)
All around me I see winter, snowflakes drifting past my eyes.
Under my feet the ice doth splinter, I don’t sink to my surprise.
Angels and demons pass me, slowing, look at me with baleful eyes.
Don’t know exactly where I’m going– I’ll get there with I arrive.
(Verse)
Ice is piling ever deeper, slowly driving me insane.
I would care but I’m not able, the cold has taken o’er my brain.
I could think about my past or maybe think of all I’ve lost.
I can’t bring myself to care, for I am numb, my brain is frost.
(Chorus)
In the dead of winter, I give myself to you.
Not one final prayer, I stare at nothing.
All the frozen splendor of my barren soul, it starts to shatter,
I must be nothing!
(Verse)
All around is naught but winter, no one sees with frozen eyes.
Soon the whole world will be winter, the age of wisdom has arrived.
You can think about your past, or maybe think of all you’ve lost,
But I don’t think you’ll really care.
You’ll be dead, encased in frost.
